Meme or requirement?  

In Meme Alert: Complexity (Brent Sleeper's Web Site) Brent raises a meme alert, but is it not really a plea from everyone in the industry. I rarely hear CIO's asking for more complex solutions....

I hope SOA and web services will actually provide a simpler approach to creating business solutions. First though we need to wade through the WS-*!&$# jungle....

I hope the next Meme-Alert will be "Standards Convergence" !
